Charyl Davis

Charyl is a Charlotte native and began dancing at the age of 5.  She was competitive dancer who began her journey of teaching at the age of 14 where she knew instantly she had a passion for educating others.  She graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2006 with a Mass Media Communications degree and minors in Journalism, English & Sociology; all while continuing to teach dance full time.  She took her degree into Radio following graduation but began to find difficulty in juggling her career & her passion.  In 2009, God directed Charyl to follow her passion and it was then that TDC was born.  Over 40 students that Charyl instructed opened the doors with her in the middle of the recession & TDC has been thriving ever since.

Charyl has been teaching all disciplines of dance and choreographing competition dance routines for over 10 years. She has obtained numerous choreography awards from multiple competitions both regionally and nationally, and many of her students have won National titles from all major talent competitions in the country.

It is her desire to encourage today's youth to excel in every area of life, not just dance.  Her family values & morals are placed on every student & she embraces the imperfections one may see & creates masterpieces within so that her students know their true value & worth in this society.

She grew up dancing in Harrisburg and Charlotte where she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and hip-hop in addition to competing on both the regional and national level winning many top honors. Lynne continued her dance training on the collegiate level where she graduated with honors and received her B.A. in Dance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. While at UNCC she studied numerous dance genres including modern and world dances such as Irish and Russian and worked with renowned choreographers. In addition to her own training, she has been teaching dance to children for years on both the recreational and competitive level where her choreography has won many awards. Lynne is so grateful for the opportunity to continue her passion for dance while sharing her love of dance with the children she teaches and hopes that they find as much joy in it as she does.

Josh Davis

Born & raised in Charlotte, Josh is no stranger to the Queen City.  He may have a banking background but his love for athletics & his wife landed him the job of our Strength & Conditioning Coach!  He provides the right amount of tough love to our dancers in our Strength & Conditioning Classes where is pushes more out of the kids they sometimes they even know they are capable of giving.  His classes are tough but have built our dancers to be tougher.  The overall strength, stamina, confidence & work ethic has improved for our competition company & we know "Mr. Uncle Josh" has played a huge role in that!  When he isn't working you can almost always find him on the football field playing, in the audience supporting our dancers or at a stadium supporting a brother of a dancer!  He is our BIGGEST FAN!!!
